LHV continues as the main sponsor of Estonian football

The Estonian Football Association and LHV extended their cooperation, which began in 2010, by five years, i.e. until the end of 2029. Under the new agreement, LHV will be the main supporter of men's, women's and youth teams.

Cooperation between Estonian football and LHV Group (the largest domestic financial group) which has lasted for 15 years, will continue for the next five years. Clear focus areas have been set out: men's team, women's team, youth teams, communities and the player's journey to the top. At the same time, the successful LHV Football Card project continues, through which LHV has supported clubs all over Estonia with more than 900,000 euros over the years.

In addition to the annual amount of support and the LHV Football Card project, the agreement also provides for significant bonuses when the men's national team reaches the finals on title competitions.

Madis Toomsalu, Chairman of the Management Board of LHV Group, stressed that football is the most popular sport in the world and LHV wants to support its development and availability everywhere in Estonia. Football is a simple sport that attracts and connects people around the world. We want to contribute to its development at every level across Estonia – from the movement of children to their growing up to be top players. In sports, however, the result counts; it is in this light that our renewed cooperation is built up. We hope that football will have many good moments to offer football friends in the coming years,” Toomsalu commented.

“The impact of football on society has been described a lot through emotionality, the most powerful of which are the national team games that unite Estonia as a whole. LHV has been a long-term and principled supporter of this, believing in the power of Estonian culture and communities. It is also important that with the help of the Football Card, LHV's support has reached football clubs all over Estonia,” said Aivar Pohlak, President of the Estonian Football Association. “Thank you very much for your support and continued excellent cooperation,” he added.

While so far, cooperation has focused on the development of football in Estonia as a whole and more specifically on the men's national team, during the next five years special attention will be paid to the men's, women's and youth teams. In addition, the new direction is the player's journey to the top, i.e. supporting the journey of young footballers through the success stories of Estonian football players. Fans can still boost their football communities and their favourite clubs through the LHV Football Card.
