If you do not have an Estonian passport, ID card or residence permit, we will ask you to submit additional documents that prove that you have a connection with Estonia.

You are a holder of an e-resident’s digital ID
The e-resident’s digital ID is not an identity document and e-resident status by itself is not a sufficient basis for opening a bank account.
If you do not have an Estonian passport, ID card or residence permit, we will ask you to submit additional documents that prove that you have a connection to Estonia.
You have an Estonian passport, ID card or residence permit
If you have a passport, ID card or residence permit issued by the Estonian state, you can open a bank account conveniently without leaving home, either with the app or in the internet bank. Read the instructions for opening an account.

- signed residential lease agreement
- signed employment contract
- certificate from an educational institution regarding enrolment
- document substantiating connection to enterprise
Decision on your application
Once we have received your application for opening an account and documents, we will contact you shortly.Identification
If we approve your application to open an account, you will be asked to come to an LHV office for face-to-face identification and signing the client agreement.
Non-resident clients can not be digitally identified, so we will ask you to come to an LHV office. We provide service in Estonian, Russian and English.
After you have opened an account...
Log in
You can enter our internet bank using your ID card, the e-resident’s digital ID, mobile-ID, Smart-ID, password, or password generator issued by LHV.
If you do not have an Estonian ID card nor an e-resident’s digital ID, then it is possible to buy a PIN calculator to allow access to our internet bank and mobile app. The issuing of the PIN-calculator costs 50 euros and you may purchase it from our client offices.
Make payments
When sent as an instant payment, funds are received in seconds at any time of the day or night. Free.
Order a bank card
If desired, you can order a payment card that supports contactless payments and Apple Pay. Home delivery by mail is free within Estonia.

(1) Once the account opening application has been submitted and the application fee paid, the client's information and submitted documents will be reviewed. In the event that the bank is ready to enter into a client agreement, no additional account opening fee will be incurred. If the bank is not prepared to enter into a client agreement, the fee for submitting the account opening application will not be subject to a refund.

Business client
Your company must have a clear connection to Estonia
To open an account at LHV Pank, your company will need to prove a clear connection to Estonia and a need to open an account here.
If your company was registered in Estonia but is location-independent, submit an overview of its activities and clients. If possible, include the business plan.
You have an e-resident’s digital ID
The e-resident’s digital ID is not an identity document and e-resident status by itself is not a sufficient basis for opening a bank account.

Your company is registered in an offshore location or its ownership structure includes companies registered in offshore countries
LHV Pank does not open accounts for these companies.

- filled in application (submit as much information as possible because then we can make the decision faster)
- copy of the passport of board members and beneficial owners (holding of over 25%)
- detailed and precise overview of the ownership structure, including beneficial ownership (we will request additional information in the case of a more complicated ownership structure)
- account statement for the last 12 months
Decision on your application
Once we have received your application for opening an account, we will contact you shortly.Identification
If we approve your application to open an account, you will be asked to come to an LHV office for face-to-face identification and signing the client agreement.
If you have already identified yourself at LHV, you will not have to come to the office again. In that case, we will e-mail the client agreement to you and you can sign it digitally using your e-resident’s digital ID.

- copy of the passport of board members and beneficial owners (holding of over 25%)
- detailed and precise overview of the ownership structure, including beneficial ownership (we will request additional information in the case of a more complicated ownership structure)
- articles of association of the company (notarised), translated into Estonian, Russian or English
- list of the company’s signatories (notarised)
- registry statement of the company (certified) from the period of last 6 months translated into Estonian, Russian or English
- account statement for the last 12 months
