From 1 May 2021 to 31 October 2021, subsection 8.1.11 of the Travel Insurance Terms and Conditions shall not be applied to insured persons in the case of claims arising from losses related to becoming ill with the Covid-19 virus. LHV shall compensate the insured persons for the following expenses pursuant to the applicable Travel Insurance Terms and Conditions upon them becoming ill with the Covid-19 virus:
- medical care expenses - up to 700,000 euros upon becoming ill abroad;
- expenses incurred in the case of a trip being cancelled or disrupted – up to 2,000 euros, including the costs of travel disruption if the self-isolation requirement is applied to the insured person or his/her travel companion in line with a national regulation or a doctor’s decision.
