LHV Pank expanded its network of ATMs, with machines bearing LHV’s white logo now present in Rakvere and Viljandi.
In total, LHV installed five new ATMs: two in Tallinn, one in Rakvere, one in Viljandi and one in Viimsi. This step expanded LHV’s network of ATMs to 18, with the bank being now represented in five Estonian towns or cities.
According to Erki Kilu, Chairman of the Management Board of LHV Pank, the bank is actively growing, which also means the need to add more ATMs. “We have studied our clients’ habits carefully and analysed where cash services are needed the most,” said Kilu.
LHV is offering cash services through their ATMs, as their offices are cashless. LHV’s ATMs are still used 20% more for deposits than for withdrawals. LHV’s clients can also withdraw cash for a reasonable fee from all other ATMs.
“What speaks in favour of Rakvere and Viljandi is the fact that we have a significant number of clients there and withdrawals are also actively being made from the ATMs of other banks,” added Kilu. In Rakvere, LHV’s ATM will be located in the Kroonikeskus. In Viljandi, the ATM will be located in the Uku Keskus. Both locations were selected on the basis of an analysis of transactions made in the area—they are in the town centre, have a high level of visitation and are located along people’s regular routes. In Viimsi, the new ATM will be placed in Viimsi Keskus. Several retailers have opened in Viimsi and their visitors would like to have their cash service available close to home.
In Tallinn, one ATM was added to LHV’s office and another to the newly opened Balti Jaama Turg. “Until now, we had only one ATM in our office and it can probably be said that it was the most heavily used machine in Estonia. Adding a new device improves access to cash services at our office,” said Kilu. “Balti Jaama Turg is an innovative retail node, with its location near the Telliskivi Creative City, cafés and start-ups suiting our clients,” added Kilu.
LHV’s ATMs are located indoors and accessible during the opening hours of the shopping centres. Around the clock at the bank’s office. In addition to cash deposits and withdrawals, it is possible to use the ATMs to check your account balance and change the PIN code for your bank card. LHV’s ATMs have contactless capacity, meaning that withdrawals can be made with a contactless card without inserting it into the machine.
