Construction has begun on the new LHV head office

07.10.2024

The new head office of the LHV Group will be located next to its current head office, in the CityPlaza building, in Tallinn. Construction of the 27-storey office building on Tartu mnt 1, aiming to offer the best client service and a modern working environment, has begun.

LHV Group signed a commercial lease contract with the building’s developer, Estconde Invest, in July. The construction of the new head office is essential for the fast-growing LHV. Operations in the new building are scheduled to begin in spring 2028, and clients will be offered more convenient, but also more personalised solutions.

‘Our aim is to create modern and comfortable client areas, where we can continue to offer the best service. We are able to have a say during the construction of the building, allowing us to implement innovative technological solutions that allow clients to get the support they need quickly and efficiently. The library of investment and economic literature available to LHV clients can also continue to grow,’ said Age Leedo, the Head of Human Resources.

At the same time, she pointed out that there would likely be some inconveniences in serving clients during the long construction period of the new building, as access to the building will be partially restricted and, depending on the construction works, the lobby of the bank may also be noisy. The bank has taken this into account, and is making changes to ensure that clients are also able to conveniently visit the LHV Client Office during construction.

However, the new building is also needed by the employees of LHV. ‘Our people need to be able to enjoy state-of-the-art working conditions in the new premises. The aim is to provide an inspiring and ergonomic working environment with space for both open office solutions and private workspaces. We plan to provide relaxation areas for employees to help maintain the balance between physical and mental well-being,’ Leedo added.

The move to the high-rise building at Tartu mnt 1 will give LHV the opportunity to create an inspiring and innovative environment for both its clients and employees. Even before construction begins, it has been decided that the building will be built in accordance with the requirements of the international sustainability standard BREEAM Excellent.

The building will be built by Merko Ehitus. The construction period is 40 months. The new LHV building will have 27 above ground floors and 2 underground floors. A total of 21,000 square metres of new office and retail space will be added to the quarter. It will be a Class A office building with all the necessary infrastructure.
