A record amount raised to support football clubs with the LHV Football Card

21.11.2024

Over the year, Estonian football fans and club communities raised an all-time record of 164,943 euros, thanks to payments made with the LHV Football Card. A total of 146 football clubs across Estonia receive support.

According to Kadri Kiisel, Chairman of the Management Board of LHV Pank, the football community can praise itself for the record. ‘The Football Card was developed 13 years ago with the specific aim that it would not just be a collaboration between two organisations, but that all people would be involved. It is a joy to see that football fans have also become fans of LHV’s products and services. The Card quickly found its place among community members, and its use has rapidly grown across Estonia over time. In just the last five years, over 615,000 euros have been raised, and this has helped football clubs across Estonia,’ Kiisel said.

‘The record support from football fans gives assurance that supporting Estonian football is a common wish for all of us. Every year, more and more members of football clubs and communities extend a helping hand, which is especially important in economically more challenging years. Thank you to the entire football family and to LHV Pank, with whom we can confidently take the next steps in Estonian football,’ said Anne Rei, Secretary-General of the Estonian Football Association.

In the club rankings, the supporters of FC Flora Tallinn raised the largest amount, with 10,342 euros raised from their purchases to support the club. They were followed by Tartu JK Tammeka, with 9,225 euros, and Nõmme Kalju FC, with 5,252 euros. A total of 146 football clubs from all over Estonia receive support.

The LHV Football Card is the official fan card of Estonian football, and LHV Pank pays 10 cents from purchases made with the card in support of the football club chosen by the cardholder. There is a 10% discount on full price tickets for the home games of the Estonian national team, and admission to the home games of the youth national teams is free of charge. The Football Card can also be ordered virtually.

LHV has been supporting the Estonian Football Association and the Estonian national team since 2010 already.
