At the Bank of the Year Awards gala in London last night, Financial Times’ international banking magazine The Banker named LHV the best bank in Estonia in 2024. This is the 6th time LHV has won the award.
Over the past year, LHV has significantly strengthened its position in the Estonian financial services market, creating a new investment banking unit and integrating its EveryPay payment service platform. These important steps have made it possible to offer our clients a better quality of service in new areas.
According to Kadri Kiisel, the Chairman of the Management Board at LHV Pank, innovation and a dedicated team are behind the achievements: ‘Our mission is to improve access to financial services, and recently we have focused on increasing competition in the home loan market. The number of clients whose salary is transferred to LHV has also increased by 11% over the year. This all shows that we have the best user experience and client-oriented service.’ Kiisel added that the number of clients who have directed their salaries to LHV Pank in particular has increased in recent months, when the bank also supports this step with 100 euros to stimulate the habit of saving.
Despite the difficult economic environment, LHV is growing fast. In the ten months of 2024, the number of clients of LHV Pank has increased by 12% year-on-year and the loan portfolio has grown by 431 million euros.
‘The key to our success lies in our ability to adapt to changing circumstances while keeping the needs of our clients in mind,’ Kadri Kiisel, Chairman of the Management Board at LHV Pank, comments. LHV also led the way in promoting sustainability by offering preferential loans to finance electric vehicles, hybrid cars, and apartment association renovation projects in partnership with the European Investment Fund.
